![]() They recorded the song at Noisematch Studios in Miami in late 2016. He originally composed it as a cumbia and pop song with lyrics written as a ballad but decided to give it an "urban injection" and sent a demo to reggaeton artist Daddy Yankee. Fonsi co-wrote the song on a Gibson Emmylou Harris guitar. He woke up mulling about "a song called 'Despacito'" and invited Brazilian-Panamanian singer and songwriter Erika Ender to a songwriting session. The lyrics of "Despacito" were written in late 2015 in Luis Fonsi's house in Miami because he wanted to record a "swinging song" for his new album after two years without releasing new music. Panamanian singer and songwriter Erika Ender ( pictured) co-wrote the song. It is now the second most-viewed video on the site, with " Baby Shark" by Pinkfong being the first most-viewed. It was the most-viewed YouTube video of all-time from August 2017 to November 2020 and became the first video on the site to reach the milestones of three, four, five, six, and seven billion views. ![]() The music video shows both artists performing the song in La Perla neighborhood of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico and local bar La Factoría. It also became the first Latin song to receive a diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America. In the United States, it became the first song primarily in Spanish to top the Billboard Hot 100 since Los del Río's " Macarena" in 1996, subsequently tying the longest-reigning number one on the Billboard Hot 100 at the time with 16 weeks, as well as becoming the longest-running number-one on the Hot Latin Songs chart with 56 weeks. ![]() The song topped the charts of 47 countries and reached the top 10 of six others. "Despacito" has been also ranked among the best Latin songs of all-time and the best songs of 2017 by various publications, which referred to it as one of the most successful Spanish-language tracks in pop music history. It has received Latin Grammy Awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Urban Fusion/Performance, and Best Short Form Music Video at the 18th Latin Grammy Awards. "Despacito" received generally favorable reviews from music critics, who praised the fusion between Latin and urban rhythms, its catchiness, and its text painting. It is a reggaeton and Latin pop song composed in common time with lyrics about desiring a sexual relationship, performed in a smooth and romantic way. "Despacito" has been widely credited by music journalists as being instrumental in popularizing Spanish-language pop music in the mainstream market again. A remix version featuring Canadian singer Justin Bieber was released on April 17, 2017, which helped to improve the chart performance of the song in numerous countries, including various number-one positions. Released on January 12, 2017, the song was written by Fonsi, Erika Ender and Daddy Yankee, and produced by Mauricio Rengifo and Andrés Torres. " Despacito" ( American Spanish: "Slowly") is a song by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi featuring Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee from Fonsi's 2019 studio album Vida.

Khurrana, is the best he has been since his launch venture. For a debutante, Pednekar is surprisingly confident. The actors, however, deliver redeeming performances. The film's subplots are unnecessary and abrupt, like the sudden demise of a never-mentioned-before uncle which triggers the final act. It's the only thing that makes its ‘loser’ hero look good and is a contrived culmination of the romance we never find blooming. Such scenes might crack you up, but the crackling effect is wiped out as the film moves towards a predictable climax featuring Kumar Sanu, a steady fixture since the first scene. The tune is beautiful and goes with the words very well, arrangement by Hitesh Modak is spot on with some splendid flute-play from Naveen Kumar and shehnai by Omkar Dhumal. It is in Moh Moh Ke Dhaage that Anu Malik scores a true winner. And some of that also owes to the power-packed singing by Kailash Kher, Jyoti Nooran and Sultana Nooran. Whatever the answer to that question, Neeva’s creators understand what they’re getting into. “It’s looking for the answer to the question, ‘If there was a high-quality product that clearly benefits you in multiple ways, would you pay for it as opposed to having it be free, supported by ads?'” “I tell people that Neeva is as much a social experiment as it is a technological experiment,” says Ramaswamy, the company’s CEO. Sridhar Ramaswamy At its highest level, Neeva represents a bet that the way Google monetizes search and other services through advertising-as it’s done for more than two decades to wildly profitable effect-has hampered its user experience, thereby opening up an opportunity. They’ve also secured $77.5 million in funding, including investments from venture-capital titans Greylock and Sequoia. Moreover, about 30 percent of the roughly 60-person staff they’ve assembled at Neeva consists of ex-Googlers, including Hall-of-Famers such as Udi Manber (a former head of Google search) and Darin Fisher (one of the inventors of Chrome). Two long-time Google executives with more than a quarter-century of experience at the web giant between them, they have an insider’s understanding of how it operates. Though it’s extremely similar to Google in many respects-with a few twists of its own-it dumps the web giant’s venerable ad-based business model in the interest of avoiding distractions, privacy quandaries, and other compromises. And we’ve been accustomed to getting our search for free since well before there was a Google-which might make paying for it sound like being expected to purchase a phone book.īut Neeva is indeed a new search engine, officially launching today, that carries a subscription fee. By definition, any new search engine competes with Google, whose 90 percent-plus market share leaves little oxygen for other players. At first blush, it may seem like a textbook example of a startup idea destined never to get anywhere. Whether other sites will be doing the same is still not clear.īecause of such disruptions, some in the technology sector have called for an end to leap seconds-doing away with time based on the Earth's movement altogether. That approach apparently worked well enough as Google has already announced that it would use the same technique this year. Some companies, most notably, Google, have created a work-around-they call it the "smear around"-it forces servers to use extra time in making updates over the course of the year, which prevents them from ever noticing that a leap second has occurred. ![]() Other computers will show the 59 th second for two seconds in a row, which can also cause problems. Nowadays, however, adding a leap second-which is scheduled to occur at 23:59:59 on June 30 (the halfway point of the year)-can cause computer systems to become confused when their clock shows 60 seconds, rather than rolling over after 59-and we all know what that generally means-outages. But back then, adding leap seconds went virtually unnoticed by all but the most interested. That means that atomic clocks and true Earth time must be reconciled every so often-it has happened 25 times since it became necessary back in 1975. ![]() Unfortunately, the spin of the Earth on its axis, which of course is the original source for recording the passage of time-one spin equals one day-is slowing down, losing approximately two thousandths of a second every day. The advent of computers and the Internet has caused a need for ever more precise time measurement and scientists have responded-atomic clocks are the standard now with accuracy up to quadrillionths of a second.
